Background: Steve Trippe has divided his career between various segments of Energy Industry and Real Estate Development. Steve began his oil and gas career as a Petroleum Landman in Michigan in 1980. In the mid 1980’s Steve was involved in numerous start up natural gas marketing companies and formed his own energy marketing company in 1991(Kimball/Trippe Energy Associates), which he sold to Dominion Energy, Inc. in 1996. Steve is currently Business Development and Special Projects coordinator for CIMA Energy, LTD... Managing Member of Longhorn Properties, L.L.C. an oil and gas exploration limited liability company which originates and develops exploration projects throughout the United States. Managing Member of ITAP, L.L.C. which holds interest in Heritage Sustainable Energy, a wind farm developer in Michigan. President of Four S’s, Inc. which in conjunction with Trippe Family L.L.C. holds some of the families commercial and private real estate in Michigan, Florida, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. Mr. Trippe is a 1977 graduate of Western State College of Colorado (now Western State Colorado University) and has served on the Western State College Foundation Board (2003-2010) and helped to implement the Petroleum Land & Resource Management program at WSCU. Until July of 2013 he served on the Advisory Board of the program. Steve and his wife Sarah are major benefactors to the Borick Business Building, The Petroleum Land & Resource Management Program and The Western State College Foundation. Steve and his wife along with another alumnus recently gifted the largest land donation by private individuals to Western. Steve is also former member of the Michigan Oil & Gas Association Board of Directors and The Grand Traverse Yacht Club Board of Directors.
Mr Trippe divides his time between his primary residence in Key West, Florida, his summer home in Traverse City, Michigan and skiing during winter months in Colorado. Steve is an avid salt water fly fisherman spending well over 100 days a year on the water fishing in and around Key West.
